Biographie

Sven UK began his career as DJ first in Thuringia in 1992. With numerous sets he had successively gained a name in the scene. As Joint founder of the Erfurter Technoclubs Loge, which was at that time the first and also the only club in Thuringia, he found soon the way to Lovenation, contextual event of the Loveparade. Since then each year he regularly played on different parties following the parade. In 1995 Sven UK and Mirko Sauer together founded the recordstore Dixon Music in Erfurt, which is to today a popular domicile for Vinyl friends. Still in the same year he got his first release which was produced together with the Hungarians Bernathy & son by the label Vicious Circle under the title Rundflug (Roundflight). Since then he also has annual bookings at the largest German outdoor events Nature One and SonneMondSterne (SMS), along with various bookings abroad (Switzerland, Austria, Holland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, France). Likewise he participated in two Maydays, once in Berlin and then in Dortmund. Furthermore, since 1999, he works as Booker and a resident DJ for the Erfurter Club Centrum, which in 2006 will celebrate its seventh anniversary. In 2001 Sven UK and friends of his found the label Grass Hoppers Music, which turned into a success with the first release. However, after 3 releases Sven decided to found his own label in order to become more artistically independent. That was the beginning of Metropol Division Music. Metropol Division Music stands for electronic clubsound. There is a music project of the same name Metropol division developed by Sven UK and Ringo. Up to now five releases have been published. As guest producers he could sign tracks and remixes by Adam Sky,Console, Marco Remus, DJ Emerson, Monoroom,Oscar and Kenny Leaven and among others.
Recent additions to his music label family were Pogopop int. as well as the internal Dixonmusik Label (for minimum clubsound). On Pogopop the first release `Down with the panties was published in February 2005 by the Techno Punk Combo The World Domination, following the legitimate Disco.Crash.Over hit ``country of Cockaigne`` which was on the Playlist of many Dj `s at that time. The next World Domination will appear on Pogopop in August 2006. In addition to the song `Fuckmachine `it will contain among others two remixes by Adam ski/superhit 1991 with seal killers, , which possess an uncanny Dancefloor character.
Recently, remixes by Sven UK have been published on Karate Musik and on Collegehouse as well as publication number 004 on his own label, both in March/April 2006. For the latter one he signed Pia Lund, front woman of Philip Boa and the Voodooclub. Further contributions came from CONSOLE, Monooroom and naturally Metropol Division. Release date for Metropol division music 005 will be in September 2006.
Sven UKs music style can be described as a mixture of Techno, electrical & House. But to sticking to one Style specifically, would be inconceivable for him for it is exactly the mixing from different directions which constitute his art. Sven does not restrict himself to record playing but his sets take advantage of various devices, too, which position and extend his music . Since September 2005 Sven also works as an editor for the Techno magazine Vibe and as well as for Clock, a Thuringian culture magazine.
